The Woodridge
Local School District Board of Education recognizes the value of citizen
participation in the affairs of the school district. As such, the Board provides a variety of options for citizens wishing to express their views. Although
Board of Education meetings are meetings of the Board in public, they
are not to be considered public community meetings. Community
members are, however, able to comment at public Board meetings during
the Public Participation portion of the meeting agenda. The procedures for public participation at Board meetings are announced at the beginning of each meeting. Additionally,
citizens can send letters or emails to the Board which can be discussed
in open session at the next Board meeting at the writer’s request. Citizens can call board members directly. Board member contact information can be found on the district website on the Board's page (view top of this page). Finally, citizens can request a private meeting with two members of the Board for discussion purposes. The Board recognizes the value of community engagement and encourages public participation.
